On the occasion of the III Annual Conference of the Inter-American Network of Cadastre and Property Registry, Uruguay, through the National Directorate of Cadastre of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the General Directorate of Registries of the Ministry of Education and Culture, was the host country for the activities, carried out in the city of Montevideo, between 14 and November 17, 2017. The OAS Department for Effective Public Management, as Technical Secretariat of the Network, facilitated the exchanges, in coordination with the IDB, FAO and the World Bank. The activities brought together 20 Member States, with interventions from Spain and Korea, and comprised three types of sessions: 1. Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) workshop; 2. Open Conference; and 3. Assembly of the Network. In addition to the immersion in the border experiences of Korea and Spain, The agenda addressed four thematic axes of relevance for the advancement of Cadastre and Registration worldwide: 1. Advances in Cadastre and Registration in the era of digital government; 2. The property registry as a motor for inclusion and development; 3. Cadastral and Registry Information: common platform for rural and urban planning; and 4. Impact insertion of Cadastres and Registries in the Spatial Data Infrastructure (IDEs).
