2017 Latin American Session of the World Bank Annual Land and Poverty Conference

The session: “Inter-American Network of Cadastre and Property Registry: an approach to improve land administration in Latin America and the Caribbean,” was held at the OAS facilities in Washington DC with the purpose of holding a dialogue between the authorities attending the annual conference of the World Bank on cadastre and property registration as an approach to improve land administration in the Latin American region.

The event was facilitated by the Technical Secretariat of the Inter-American Network of Cadastre and Property Registry, which is exercised by the Department for Effective Public Management of the OAS. The inauguration featured the Ambassadors of Colombia and Panama to the OAS as Presidents of the Network in 2016 and 2017; The IDB, and the World Bank. At the same time, it featured the interventions: of the Land Administration Authority (ANATI) of Panama as Presidents of the Network 17′, Uruguay as Host Country of the III Inter-American Conference on Cadastre and Property Registry (17′), the Vice Ministry of Housing of Guatemala, and the College of Registrars of Spain.
